Choosing the perfect foundation is not an easy task for any woman. It needs lot of consideration and complete knowledge of your own skin type and tone.

However, if I tell you that there is a foundation that is suitable for all skin types and is locally made while keeping in mind the requirements of local customers, what would be your reaction? Well, I know, you would scream that please tell us the name we want to give it a try. Right?

A couple of weeks back I checked the market for an appropriate foundation that wouldn’t cost me lot money as well as it should be in accordance to our environment, weather conditions, and skin tone. The shopkeepers showed me lot of imported and some locally made foundations. The Silk Foundation by Masarrat Misbah is literally a lightweight formula with slightly thickish consistency. The consistency helps you to hide any blemishes or uneven skin tone easily. The first thing we noticed about this foundation is that it becomes swiftly; it means that one has to be quick in applying the foundation and speedy blending.

The second thing which every woman notices about make-up is its odor. The smell of any foundation is very important as one can’t bear anything on face that has intolerable smell. The silk foundation has a slight smell that is almost unrecognizable.

The silk foundation blends smoothly and doesn’t show any artificial style look. The skin looks natural in tone and on a closer look, gives a smooth blended layer of foundation to cover imperfections if there are any. The coverage is not very much in favour, as it gives you a moderate coverage.

The staying power of MMSF is nearly 5 to 6 hours. The third important factor of sulk foundation is that it gives you complete matt finish. We, Pakistanis know it very well that matt finish is perfect for our country’s weather conditions.

Review - Olivia Kajal Is For Everyone!

The thinly brushed eye liner application needs a lot of perfection to draw smooth and neatly shaped eye-liners. Even after so many practices most of us end up with an irregular line that leads to doing the whole eye makeup again.

So, instead of creating all this mess, using a traditional kajal is the best alternative for creating a fine eye-liner style tidy line. It’s not only easy to use but also adds more glamour and dramatic look to eyes because of its dark pigmentation. Olivia products including this kajal are halal cosmetics and chemical free. The absence of harmful chemicals make all Olivia beauty products safe for use. The application of Olivia kajal is risk-free and it would not give you any eye irritation or teary eyes.

It gives a very dark pigmentation if applied with a touch of water. This kajal is slightly on the dry side, so if you want to draw a dark thick line, swipe it twice for your desired glamorised look. It works well as an eyeliner and eye pencil.

It is definitely not a very creamy formula and due to this it does not smudges easily, even in summers and high humidity. As Olivia’s kajal is almost smudge-free, it doesn’t go away in few hours. The staying power is around 6 to 8 hours.

It is very handy and can be carried in a small bag. School and college going young girls would love to add it in their cosmetic range. 

The price is so affordable that you will love to give it a try. It is truly budget friendly eye-makeup. We bought it from a local superstore for just Rs 50.

Our Verdict:

The lipstick look-alike concealer is nearly unscented with a very dim smell. The shade that we bought is 01 MATT SAND which suits only fair skin tones. The texture is not buttery nor totally dry. It is pretty easy to apply as it mixes smoothly with your skin. It covers imperfections for example acne scars and uneven tone. The overall moderate coverage only works to hide neutral scars.

Its non-greasy ingredients are good in hiding dark circles by giving them some natural look. Its application is easy; we blended it with our finger tips rather than using a brush. The staying power is nearly 5-6 hours.

To find a perfect mascara is a daunting task, because the market shelves are full of a vast variety of mascaras with an array of promises. Mostly these are hollow promises as the products do not fulfill the dream of dark, lengthy and thick lashes. Some mascaras give too much clumpy look and some tend to smudge in hot and humid weather.

Our Verdict:

The well-defined brush with micro bristles is quite extended which gives a noticeable change without any clumps. The consistency is neither too thick nor too thin but it do provides a good coating. It gives volume and length when applied to bare lashes.

The single coat added a moderate lash coverage without clumping. However, the double coat further added dimension to lashes with fuller effect. The second coat makes easier to comb through the clumps; at the same time adding extra thickness to the lashes.

When lightly applied to under-eye lashes, it enhanced the natural look. It would be better to avoid double coat or putting too much mascara (any mascara) on bottom lashes as it will only leave you with an artificial and scary look. 

In fact, this Maybelline mascara is a truly long-lasting and smudge free product even during high humidity. There is no need of lash curling. 

Due to its easy application, we can say that it is not a bad addition to ones’ mascara collection.

Application:

For the best results, apply the mascara brush against your lashes and just sweep it from the root to the tip of the lashes to get a clear voluminous look.

Our Verdict:

We selected the combination to oily skin product as it is perfect for our skin type. Upon trying it, we found that it doesn't irritated skin and eyes, nor it gives any rashes. Its unique formulation wipes out the makeup deeply even from the pores as well as the surface debris.

It left skin moisturized without any extra shine or greasiness as it absorbed completely in to the skin. It cleans and soothes the T-zone area but didn't dry it too much. 

Skin around the eye area is pretty delicate and when this product was applied to remove eye-makeup, it worked amazingly. It didn't irritated the eyes, in fact, it removed all the eye makeup very gently. There was no need to rub it harshly.

This cleansing milk has a normal consistency with a mild scent. Many people avoids Micellar formula due to its stickiness. However, we liked it because of its quick deep action for removing makeup plus it is not hard on skin. 

Application:

We used a small amount of the cleansing milk on to a cotton pad to clean face and eye makeup. Apply it in circular motion and wipe off with a soft tissue and rinse with tap water.

It is packed in a white plastic bottle with a green lid and weighs 200 ml.

Review - Essence I Heart NUDE Eyeshadow

Hello everyone.  I was in search of an eye shadow that can be used for multiple purposes. My search ended when I found Essence I Heart NUDE Eye shadow shades in a local mall. I selected 03 Creme Brulee tone. In this post I will share my experience with you all.

First let's see what the product claims;

The Brand Claims:

This eye shadow is from the Limited Edition I <3 Nude range. The brand claims that it is a baked eye shadow with a Satin Smooth texture for a luminous long lasting eye makeup. It comes in a 1.8 grams plastic packaging with a transparent lid.

My Verdict:

Essence I Heart NUDE 03 Creme Brulee is a very light in shade with shimmer hint. First, I tried it over a coat of eye primer. The result was fabulous. It blended well and gives a super smooth coverage with fine pigmentation.

For the second time, I wore it directly without any use of eye primer. Again the result was amazing. It was very easy to apply it on eyelid. It didn't stick in pigmented patches on the skin. In fact, its high satin texture blended comfortably to give a good little shimmery look.

Essence I Heart NUDE 03 Creme Brulee is really a long lasting eye shadow as it stayed excellently for 4 to 6 hours. I would recommend it for its best results.

The most amazing thing about Essence I Heart NUDE 03 Creme Brulee is that you can use it as a neutral eye shadow as well as for the highlight purpose. It is available in affordable price.
