Recipe: Yummy Seekh Kababs

Seekh Kabab are meat based kababs with lots of spices. Mostly these kababs are cooked as a BBQ dish at special events or picnics. The procedure for bbq is a little bit lengthy and tiresome and this is the reason many people avoid bbq.

Today, we are sharing an easy recipe to enjoy Seekh kabab without any difficulty. The recipe is very easy to follow and would not require any particular ingredients that you have search on store shelves. All you need is meat mince of your choice and regular spices.

Let’s start the quick recipe of Seekh Kababs:


Mince 750gms, (mutton, beef or chicken)
White onion 1 tbsp, finely chopped
Bread slices 2, soaked in water or milk
Ginger and garlic paste 1 tbsp each
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Green chilies paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder to taste
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
All spice powder 1 tsp
Egg 1, lightly beaten
Oil for frying
Charcoal piece


Marinate mince with all the above mentioned ingredients except oil and charcoal.
Marinate the mixture for 40-50 minutes. Keep it in fridge.
After marination time is completed, shape the kababs as shown in photo. You can thread them on a skewer (seekh) and after smoothing like a kabab, carefully remove them from the skewer onto the plate. Their shape should be like a Seekh kabab.
In a frying pan, heat oil 4-6 tbsp and gently place the kababs for frying.
Cook kababs 5 minutes on each side or till tender.
Take extra care while you turn them in pan during frying.
Seekh kababs are ready to serve.

To have a good BBQ aroma, just add a lit coal piece in the center of the kababs and add few drops of oil on it. Immediately cover the kababs with a lid or anything so that Seekh kababs can have a nice coal smell.

Serve Seekh kababs with a chutney of your choice.

Chicken burger is one specialty that everyone likes to have anytime. Our tasty recipe of chicken burger is different yet easy to make at home. These burgers are truly tempting that you would love to share with your guests.

Moreover, when you are confused in choosing between grilled and a burger with meat patty, these will be your first choice to make at home with easily available ingredients.

Let’s start our recipe;


Chicken mince 500 gms
Green onion finely chopped 2 tbsp
Green chilies finely chopped 2 tsp
White onion finely chopped 1 tsp
Black Pepper powder 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Egg 1 lightly beaten
Oil for frying
3 sesame topped buns
Tomato ketchup and mayonnaise for serving


In a mixing bowl, marinate chicken mince with green onion, green chilies, white onion, black pepper and salt for at least 20 minutes.
Shape the mixture into 3 – 4 palm size patties.
In a frying pan, heat oil 3-4 tbsp.
Cook patties over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
Lightly roast the inner side of the buns.
Spread tomato ketchup on one side of buns and place the cooked patties.
Add mayonnaise as per your taste and top it with upper side of the bun.

Tasty Chicken burgers are ready to serve.

You can add lettuce, tomato and cucumber slices as well. 



Coke Studio Season 9 Set For Launch: Will Feature Amjad Sabri


Season 9 of the signature fusion music platform Coke Studio will be remembered by fans for all time to come, as Amjad Sabri, who passed away tragically just a few days ago, will be seen performing in this Season. In what is probably the last studio recording, Amjad Sabri together with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan read the qawwali, Aj Rang Hai.

With the duo of music band Strings, Bilal Maqsood & Faisal Kapadia, as Executive Producers, the Season 9 will bring together multiple music directors, delivering music of different genres will bring forth the talent of some of the most accomplished and major names of the industry including Noori, Shani Arshad, Jaffer Zaidi, Shiraz Uppal, Faakhir Mehmood and Shuja Haider.

Although Amjad Sabri did not feature in previous seasons of Coke Studio, Tajdar e Haram was performed in Season 8 last year by Atif Aslam, as a tribute to the original performers, Ghulam Farid Sabri and Maqbool Ahmed Sabri. Amjad Sabri had also helped Coke Studio on this rendition. The rendition gained worldwide fame with over 33 million views on digital media. 

Speaking about his kalaam during the recording in May, the late Amjad Sabri had stated, 

“About 40 years ago, my father and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan read this kalaam at a dargah in Karachi and 40 years later, Rahat and I are reading it again (on Coke Studio Season 9).”

Remembering The Great Qawwal Amjad Sabri

Legendary qawwal of Pakistan Amjad Sabri shot dead in Karachi. He belonged to the Sabri family, a world famous maestro duo (qawwals) Ghulam Farid Sabri and Maqbool Ahmed Sabri. 

The Sabri Brothers, also known as Roving Ambassadors for Pakistan have given numerous soulful qawwali performances worldwide with outstanding qawwali hits. 

The tradition of qawwali was carried forward by Amjad Fareed Sabri who took the conventional trend of performing qawwali to new heights. He appeared not only in global concerts but also marked his presence in various television shows and social media. 


 Pakistan's young generation was introduced to qawwali by Amjad Sabri who revolutionised the old trend by fusing it with new style. His heart touching and powerful voice enthralled not only locals but also international audiences.  

Some of the most famous works of the Sabri include Tajdar-e-Haram and Bhar Do Jholi. Bhar Do Jholi was included in a foreign movie.

Recipe: Delicious Chicken Spaghetti

During Ramazan we all eat fried foods in iftar and love to have heavy meals during sehri time. Sometimes, these fried and heavy meals are not easy to digest. It is the reason, we, at our home mostly opt for simple and less spicy food for iftar and sehri.

Chicken Spaghetti is one dish that can be easily digestible during any time of the day or night. It is light and healthy. The addition of vegetables in it gives a refreshing look and unique taste.

So, let’s start our Delicious Chicken Spaghetti;


Spaghetti 1 packet
Chicken boneless 350 gms, cut into thin strips or cubes
Green onion 1 cup, cut into 1 inch pieces
Carrots 1-2, cut into thin strips
Cabbage 1 cup, cut as per your choice
Capsicum 1 cup, thinly sliced
Garlic 2-3 cloves, chopped


Soy Sauce 3-4 tbsp
Red Chili Sauce 2 tbsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
White pepper powder 1 tsp
Cayenne Pepper 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 4 tbsp


Bring a pot of water to boil, add spaghetti with 3 tbsp oil and boil till cooked.
Drain the water and keep aside boiled spaghetti.
Now in a wok heat oil and stir fry garlic till light golden.
Add all sauce ingredients and mix well.
Add chicken meat and cook till tender.
Add all the vegetables and mix well and cook all for 5 minutes.
Now add boiled spaghetti, gently mix it with the vegetables and chicken.
After mixing when ingredients are incorporated, cook for just 2 minutes.

Delicious Chicken Spaghetti is ready.

Dish out in a large dish and serve it with ketchup.
