The two Pakistani models, Mushk Kaleem and Alicia Khan, are
all set to walk for Italian designer Stella Jean, whose collection will highlight
Pakistani handicraft at the renowned Milan Fashion Week on September 21st.
The duo were selected for the prominent fashion week after
Jean visited northern areas of country. While visiting the local areas few months
back, the Haitian-Italian designer Stella Jean said, “Pakistan is a dream
destination for foreigners, having multicultural diversity and a mix of
cultural and ethnic clusters spread out from Sindh to Chitral”.
Along with the representatives from UNIDO, Jean visited
Pakistan to discover the potential of the local industry, while concentrating on textiles,
handicraft, truck art, traditional embroideries, distinctive costumes of Kalash
people and to know the historical background as well.
The first Black-Italian designer is now going to showcase the
other side of Pakistan during her Fashion show in Milan Fashion week Italy. We
are waiting to see the new collection of designer and the Pakistani models at
the ramp.
