DESIGNERS Themes & Inspirations

Dulha Bhatti SS 2016 by Fahad Hussayn:

“Fahad Hussayn Couture’s collection “DULHA BHATTI” SS 2016 is a tribute to the famous Rajpoot freedom fighter himself. His passion for freedom, his skill as a warrior, his anger & compassion all play an important role in the key design inspiration for this collection apart from a mix of post colonial influences, grandeur, arts and craft from our local region & some significant architectural inspiration from Faisalabad formerly known as Layallpur. The exclusive novelty couture collection has evolved from the idea of a luxury wedding couture range to including sophisticated formal jackets, cropped silhouettes, signature couture gowns and a lot more in men's & women's wear.

Adorned with embellishments of swarovski crystals sequins work alongside zardozi, this collection features intricate use of signature patchwork, 3D & rare traditional embroidery techniques on customized fabric bases & handcrafted on net, chiffon & organza”

Undulus Collection by Yasmin Zaman:YASMIN ZAMAN:

The latest collection “Undulus” charges in from the streets of Spain drawing inspiration from ancient moorish aesthetics. The line draws upon floral motifs that are an integral element of Spanish embroidery and traditional styles of thread work in hues of gold.

It showcases the innovative blend of classic designs and modern cuts. Yasmin Zaman presents structured silhouettes in black, gold and maroon on silk, organza and net for contemporary brides who want to mix the grandiose with a modern edge.

Progency of Venus by Erum Khan: ERUM KHAN:

'Progeny of Venus' is a showcase of contemporary bridals and the birth of subtlety and poise in the modern woman today.

The collection is inspired by the Roman Goddess; Venus, who was the Goddess of beauty and love. Each ensemble exhibits the surreal love for art and allure whilst creating a statement with a pastel color palette and 3D work. 'Progeny of Venus' is the birth of understated charm of beauty and art.

Naqas-e-Zareen by MNR Design Studio:

MNR’s collection titled “Naqas-e-Zareen is an ode to women who desire to wear the amalgamation of western cuts with eastern silhouettes.  This collection is a depiction of women who love to accessorize and inspires women to feel regal.

The grandeur detailing on every outfit is a piece of art in itself. From exclusive floral expressions to inimitable accessorize patterns, every outfit is breathtaking.

A return of Splendour by Tabassum Mughal:

Tabassum Mughal’s Autumn/Winter 16 Haute Couture bridal capsule 'A Return to Splendour' is inspired by the cornucopia of splendours nature has to offer especially England's rustic gardens and countryside with their profusion of seasonal flora, fern and fauna. The collection offers lehengas worn with contemporary capes or structured embroidered jackets as well as intricately embellished sheath gowns; each silhouette from the collection resonating with royal grandeur while being versatile enough to be luxury prêt friendly.

However the real magic lies in the innovative manipulation of myriad embellishment techniques including a flurry of 3-D silk and organza fleurettes offering three-dimensional illusions of grandeur and sophistication.

Amina  Yasmeen by Mansoor Akram:

The 2016 summer collection is regal, elegant and timeless. It reflects our royal elegance, tradition and heritage. We focused on the silhouette, played with different cuts, used light weighted fabrics and gave variation in embellishments by using Swarovski, sequence, thread (tilla) and embroidery.

Naushad Imdad:

Naushad Imdad introduces the 'Eminence-IV' collection, a look that is at once modern and timeless. Iconic yet fresh, the NI Eminence Label represents a new chapter in men’s style combining embroidery and Swarovski. Featuring razor-sharp tailoring and dramatically lean silhouettes, classic suiting and hand embroidered sherwanis.

Roses in Rain by Saadia Mirza:
The inspiration ethos of Saadia Mirza’s “Roses in Rain” collection is based in a dreamscape. Crystalline dewdrops over the velveteen petals of a rose. Rain drops creating an opulent effervescence in a foggy ambience, spotted sporadically by the sudden brightness of color from the flowers.

Heavily embellished with Swarovski crystals and gara work, this collection is ethereally feminine, designed with exquisite Chantilly lace, rich silks and tulle. The collection plays in the shades and nuances of smoky greys and sparkly silvers, accented with shades of pink, peach and green. Layered and tasseled with fluid shapes and an ample dash of bling and cutwork. This collection is an anthology of signature Saadia Mirza style.
