A teacher not only polishes students'
intelligence but also plays an important role in building pupils’ character. To
acknowledge and pay homage to teachers, October 5 is recognized internationally
as World Teachers’ Day to observe the adoption of the 1966 UNESCO
Recommendation Concerning the Status of Teachers across the globe.
Beaconhouse Group - the largest
international network of private schools, paid tribute to all teachers who
continued their services and fulfilled responsibilities amid pandemic through
its campaign ThankYouTeacher.
The campaign encouraged everyone, from kids
to parents to Beaconhouse graduates, to use the hashtag #ThankYouTeacher to
share a memory or a photo of their favorite teacher.
The campaign pointed out the impressive character
of teachers who invest their hearts and souls towards the academic nurturing
and learning of their students. The most recent example of such sacrifice can
be seen during the pandemic crisis in which teachers engaged their students. They
did their duties tirelessly in the most difficult conditions.
During COVID-19, teachers across the globe emerged
as the unsung heroes, in fact superheroes who continued their work under immense
pressure. It is now our duty to fully support all teachers in the education
recovery process. Time to invest in them and give priority to them.
